Extract Hangs when DDL history tables are very big. (Doc ID 2058178.1)

Symptoms

Extract hangs and SEND <extract>, status times out. Kill and restart shows extract goes into recovery mode. At this point send status still works, after recovery it hangs.

An XML activity trace, see Note OGG Activity Logging Tracing(Doc ID 1204284.1),
shows extract looping with continuous messages
