Top-Level Not Clause or NotFilter Returns Wrong Results When the Query Uses an Index (Doc ID 2062057.1)

Last updated on MAY 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Coherence - Version 12.1.3.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A Coherence filter that has a top-level not-clause or NotFilter does not return the correct results when there is an index on the object property being used in the query.

For example an application puts a number of objects into a cache, where the DomainObject has name and value properties and corresponding getName and getValue methods:

and then re-running the same query returns 1 and not 3.
