Inconsistency In The OAM Bundle Patch 11.1.2.2.7 Instructions (Doc ID 2070053.1)

Last updated on MAY 24, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.2.6 to 11.1.2.2.6 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

OAM Bundle Patches released yesterday for 11.1.2.2 has release note pdf file includes two contradictory sections.

- The first section "3.2 Applying the OAM Bundle Patch" refers to installation of Patch # 21958341 which exists under BP download.

- Then the next section "3.2.1 Applying the OAM Bundle Patch" includes almost identical text but refers to Patch # 21961467 which does not exist in the BP download.

Can you please clarify?

Also, the patch states that the Admin server and all OAM servers must be shut down when applying the patch. Then it states

"
4. Start all Servers (AdminServer and all OAM Servers).
5. Multiple Instances: Repeat Steps 1-4 to apply the Bundle Patch to each instance throughout your installation.
"

If one has already started all OAM servers what other instances does this refer to? Does it mean other 'installations' of OAM?

It seems so obvious that the patch must be installed on all installations in order for those installations to be patched. Can the patch be applied in a rolling fashion, e.g., first the Admin, then shut down one OAM Server, patch it, start it up, and repeat for another OAM Server, etc?
