OAM 11gR2PS3: OAM Logs Getting Filled with "Unsupported Attribute=<ldapattr_name>, Value=null. This Will Impact Response Handling" (Doc ID 2070560.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 21, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Access Manager - Version 11.1.2.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.1.2.3.0 version, Authorization Engine

After upgrade to OAM11gR2PS3 (also apply to new fresh installation of OAM 11.1.2.3.0), we can observe multiple logs entries like these:

<May 30, 2015 1:09:05 PM CEST> <Warning> <oracle.oam.engine.authz> <BEA-000000> <unsupported attribute=<some_ldapattr_name>, value=null. this will impact response handling.>
<May 30, 2015 1:09:05 PM CEST> <Warning> <oracle.oam.engine.authz> <BEA-000000> <unsupported attribute=<some_ldapattr_name>, value=null. this will impact response handling.>

This is a ldap attribute that is empty for some users. This is filling up the OAM logs..  Why ?

In previous versions of OAM (like with R2PS2 11.1.2.2.0), this was NOT seen and it was not an issue.

But after upgrade this is logged a lot.
