Symptoms

Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11gr2 - Logout Request Redirected to Incorrect URL Resulting iN HTTP 404 Error

null string is getting added when trying to logout from application using OAM, as per example:

http://<HOSTNAME>.<DOMAIN>:<PORT>/oam/server/null/oam_logout_success   --->  note the null in between server and oam_logout_sucess

Steps to verify the issue as follow:

1. Open a browser and on the first tab access a protected resource as per example:

http://<HOSTNAME>.<DOMAIN>:<PORT>/cgi-bin/printenv

As it is protected it will redirected to login page where you can supply user/pass to see the resource.

2. Open a second tab and access another protected resource

http://<HOSTNAME>.<DOMAIN>:<PORT>/oamprivate/index.html

as you have already provide credential on the previous tab, you are granted access to the page (no credentials need to be supplied).

3. Logout of the application by calling the logout link:

Instead of the proper URL you will get:

http://<HOSTNAME>.<DOMAIN>:<PORT>/oam/server/null/oam_logout_success
