Extract cannot be started with MINEFROMACTIVEDG parameter set (Doc ID 2074123.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 04, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 12.1.2.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

GoldenGate extract stops right after issuing the start command. None of the logs show any errors. In this case, we are using a classic capture ALO method from a standby database.

GGSCI> start extract EBHDBP01

Sending START request to MANAGER ...
EXTRACT EBHDBP01 starting

GGSCI> info extract EBHDBP01

EXTRACT EBHDBP01 Initialized 2015-10-29 22:56 Status STOPPED

When trying to start the Extract from outside the ggsci shell, it generated a core dump (ends in a Segmentation fault):
$ ./extract paramfile dirprm/ebhdbp01.prm
