Symptoms

OAM connection to Directory Server may return errors such as;

oracle.security.idm.OperationFailureException: javax.naming.AuthenticationNotSupportedException: [LDAP: error code 48 - Inappropriate Authentication]

Also, in the access log error such as this may appear if using a standard ldapsearch or using an ldap browser to connect.
