Goal

This document provides documentation on how you can use the mod_rewrite module to restrict access to your Fusion Middleware website.  This module uses a rule-based rewriting engine to rewrite requested URLs on the fly. It provide a really flexible and powerful URL manipulation mechanism. 

Be aware, that mod_rewrite is a complex module and it consumes system resources.
