Authentication Via DCC With Long URL's Fails With Page Not Found (Doc ID 2081807.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to authenticate through a DCC (Detached Credential Collector) WebGate (non tunneled) by accessing a very long resource URL (1300+ characters) authentication fails with a 404 (Not Found) error:

The requested URL /oam/server/auth_cred_submit was not found.
