Error ORA-01017 Invalid Username/Password, While Resetting Expired Password from SQL Developer

Information in this document applies to any platform.
While Trying to connect to database from SQL Developer, User is prompted with message that, “Password has expired, please reset password”.
User chooses “Reset Password” option and it prompts for “Existing password”, “New Password”.
Once entered, it gives ORA-01017 invalid username/password and fails to reset it.
