Last updated on FEBRUARY 08, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.2.0 to 2.0.6.2.0
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

In Exalogic Linux Physical 2.0.6.2.0 rack running with Oracle Linux (OL) 6.5 operating system, after rebooting compute nodes issue of EoIB bond not coming up is seen. Because of this EoIB network is not accessible on the Compute Node. However the slave interfaces corresponding to EoIB bond are up.

Below is "ifconfig -a" output shown as an example. In this example we can see bond1 EoIB bond is down whereas the slave interfaces eth651_1 & eth1292_2 corresponding to EoIB bond1 are up. The issue only happens when rebooting the compute node. Restarting network services fixes the fixes.
