HTTP-404 Error When Adding Or Deleting Portlets From A Page (Doc ID 2094236.1)

In Oracle Portal with Fusion Middleware midtier, editing pages fails with HTTP-404 error messages. In addition, removal of the Application Navigator - Tree mode portlet is not possible, it results in an HTTP-404 error as well. Change of access permissions (Display Page To Public Users' is not persistent. The checkbox can be checked but the change is not registered.

The WLS_PORTAL-diagnostic.log file shows the following error :
