Blank inbox shown to users when accessing the Workspace URL from a Task Notification email

After modifying the inbox setting of My Tasks view in BPM Workspace as below:
a) Hide task details panel:checked
b) selecting ' Same window /external window'
When the users try to access the Task Notification by clicking on the Workspace link from the notification email, they are seeing a blank inbox in the Workspace (right hand pane is blank)
