What is the OSB threading model for local invocations (Doc ID 2096755.1)

When testing a Service Callout, which points to a co-located Proxy Service, results show that the same thread that is executing the initiating Proxy Service also executes the target Proxy Service. The documentation at https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/osb/develop/GUID-7A9661AE-6FE5-4A92-A418-694A84D0B0BF.htm#OSBDV89430 seems to indicate that a response thread is expected.
