How To Migrate from WCC 10g or WCC 11g Version to a 12c WCC version (Doc ID 2098624.1)

Last updated on MARCH 05, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This How To note will cover the steps required to migrate a 10g Content Server or 11g WebCenter Content server to a newly installed 12c WCC.

This applies to migrating the configuration and the content from an already installed Content Server to the new 11g WCC.

This guide is not on how to upgrade a 10g CS or 11g WCC to 12c. An upgrade is to take the older instance and make it into an 12c WCC instance. This guide is how to migrate the configuration, metadata, and content from one Content Server instance to another, a newly installed 12c instance.

To perform an upgrade from 11g, follow the steps in the Oracle® Fusion Middleware Upgrading Oracle WebCenter

A 10g CS cannot be directly upgraded to 12c.
