SEGV Occurring In Libclntsh.so.12.1 In JDBC OCI Driver (Doc ID 2102285.1)

Symptoms

JDBC application using the JDBC/OCI driver crashes with SIGSEGV on the native layer in libclntsh.so.12.1.
The application runs on JDK1.7 using the Oracle client 12.1.0.2 ( 64 bit).  The TNS connection string uses TAF ( Transparent Application Failover)
