Reports Do Not Print with Legal Format Using Reports 11gR2/12c; Instead Default to A4 Format (Doc ID 2102456.1)

Symptoms

Reports do not print on Legal Format in Reports 11g/12c.  Printer is configured on Unix server and its PPD file is set up to use Legal Format as default.  However, the report is always printing on A4 Format.

The same PPD and report configuration worked on OAS 10g on another server.

Sample URL used to run report to printer:

 If set TK_PRINTER to <printer_name> in reports.sh (under $ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/reports/bin for 11g and $DOMAIN_HOME/reports/bin for 12c), then report does print in Legal format.  If unset TK_PRINTER, then the output defaults to A4 regardless of what desname parameter is set to in the URL or command.

Changes

 This is a new Reports 11g / 12c installation.
