GlassFish 3.1.2.13 and 3.1.2.14 Do Not Accept Valid LDAP Search Syntax for the LDAP Realm Configuration. (Doc ID 2104880.1)

Symptoms

Either upgrading an pre-3.1.2.13 GlassFish installation with a domain configured with an LDAP Realm, or attempting to configure an LDAP Realm on 3.1.2.13 or 3.1.2.14 will result in errors similar to the following being reported:

This is with the default LDAP realm search filter of (uid=%s).

The error is not seen with 3.1.2.12 or earlier, with the same default search filter, which is a legal filter according to RFC 2254.

Changes

 The problem was introduced by a fix made to 3.1.2.13.
