logout.html/ giving 500 error with apache2.4 webgate in RHEL 64

Logout was working fine with Apache 2.2. After upgrade to Apache 2.4, it started giving 500 error in the browser for logout.html. Apache error.log shows following error.

[xxx xx xx 14:14:58.485934 xxx] [core:error] [pid 15865] [client xxx.xx.xx.xx:xxxx] AH00027: No authentication done but request not allowed without authentication for /xxxxxx/logout.html. Authentication not configured?
