Post Upgrade, the Oracle API Gateway Extract REST request attributes Filter Configuration is not Consistent with the Documentation
Last updated on MARCH 04, 2016
Applies to:Oracle API Gateway - Version 11.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
In the "Extract REST request attributes" filter in the 22.214.171.124.0 version of OAG, there was no "Decode Extracted Attributes" checkbox included in the settings. In the 126.96.36.199.0, there is a checkbox of this type included in the filter.
The expectation in this particular case is that the setup will not use percent encoded URI paths. In the Oracle API Gateway Policy Developer Guide 11g Release 2 (188.8.131.52.0) documentation, the information on this filter, found at the following URL:
states that this checkbox it is not selected by default.
However, if performing an upgrade from 184.108.40.206.0 to 220.127.116.11.0, when examining the properties of this filter post upgrade, it is observed that this checkbox is selected.
Shouldn't this checkbox be unselected as per the default setting according to the documentation?
