Oracle API Gateway Removes Content-Transfer-Encoding Header from Request (Doc ID 2114367.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 07, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle API Gateway - Version 11.1.2.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When sending a SOAP request with an MTOM payload as a MIME part, the Content-Transfer-Encoding header value is removed from the transport headers of the request.

It has been determined that the Content-Transfer-Encoding header is present in the request that is being received by the API Gateway, but absent from the request sent by the API Gateway.
This occurs when using a Schema Validation filter. The Schema Validation filter is required in this case because the request contains an MTOM/XOP payload.
