Goal
Forms Interaction Mode Property set to Non-blocking mode is useful if you expect the query will be time-consuming and you want the user to be able to interrupt or cancel the query.
In this mode, the Forms runtime will display a dialogue "Press Cancel To End This Database Operation" that allows the user to cancel the query.
When user cancels the query the Form issues the message: FRM-40353: Query cancelled.
See bellow how to customize the behavior when the user is pushing the "Cancel"-button in the "Press Cancel To End This Database Operation" Alert
