Unable to log into the Workspace due to NullPointerException on WLSAbstractPrincipal.hashCode (Doc ID 2116507.1)

Symptoms

After configuring an external authentication provider, the following exception is seen in the logs when trying to log into the BPM Workspace:

ORABPEL-30504

Internal error in Verification Service.
Internal error in Verification Service for user wz8l2m. hasPermission.
Check the underlying exception and correct the error. If the error persists, contact Oracle Support Services.
