OHS Does Not Purge Old Logs After Restarting (Doc ID 2126158.1)

Last updated on JUNE 05, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 11.1.1.2.0 to 11.1.1.9.0 [Release Oracle11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Fusion Middleware 11g, Oracle HTTP Server uses odl_rotatelogs to rotate logs. This odl_rotatelogs also supports the feature of log retention.  Example 1 and 3 shows the configuration to rotate logs when the size of log reaches to 10M bytes, and max log size is set to 70M bytes as log retention. Example 2 and 4 shows the configuration to rotate logs per half a day, and keeps logs 7 days at maximum.

However, some of logs will never be purged after restarting server.
