How to delete a branch using default Git plugin in JDeveloper 12c ? (Doc ID 2129552.1)

Goal

A JDeveloper 12.2.1.0.0 application is being developed using the default Git for version control. This software is distributed with JDeveloper. It appears the default Git plugin allows for the creation of a branch, but does not give the possibility to delete a branch.
