When installing EBS 12.x on Exalogic guest vServer NFSv4 Shares are Not Responding (Doc ID 2130637.1)

Last updated on APRIL 29, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.0.0 and later
Linux x86-64
Oracle Virtual Server (x86-64)

Symptoms

ZFSA NFSv4 share is mounted on a Exalogic guest vServer.

During the installation of the EBS 12.2.x through this share, simple commands like 'ls' or 'df -h' are not responding and share is hanging.

In vServer /var/log/message, following block threads are seen:

Apr 14 01:16:42 vServer01 kernel: INFO: task java:13153 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
Apr 14 01:16:42 vServer01 kernel: "echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs" disables this message.
