Oracle Portal Fails After Disabling SSL 3.0 in OID (Doc ID 2133325.1)

Symptoms

After disabling SSL 4.0 (SSLv3) in Oracle Internet Directory Oracle Portal raises the following error:

Error
internal error (WWC-00006)
Unexpected error encountered in wwsec_app_priv.process_signon (User-Defined Exception)(WWC-41417)
Unexpected error encountered in wwsec_oid.bind(User-Defined Exception)(WWC-41417)
An exception is raised when accessing the Oracle Internet Directory: 554: SSL handshake failed
Details
Operation: dbms_ldap.open_ssl
OID host: <OID_HOSTNAME>
OID port number: <OID_SSL_PORT>
Entry DN: orclapplicationcommonname=<PREFIX>_portalXXXXX.XXXXX.XXXXX,cn=portal,cn=products,cn=oraclecontext.(WWC-41743)


Changes

 You have disable SSL 3.0 in OID.
