Symptoms
After disabling SSL 4.0 (SSLv3) in Oracle Internet Directory Oracle Portal raises the following error:

internal error (WWC-00006)
Unexpected error encountered in wwsec_app_priv.process_signon (User-Defined Exception)(WWC-41417)
Unexpected error encountered in wwsec_oid.bind(User-Defined Exception)(WWC-41417)
An exception is raised when accessing the Oracle Internet Directory: 554: SSL handshake failed
