How to Automate the Oracle API Gateway Installation Process Using the Option File Specification (Doc ID 2136025.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 01, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle API Gateway - Version 11.1.2.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Using OAG 11.1.2.4.0

It is necessary to automate the OAG installation process.

As part of an unattended installation mode, the OAG documentation states there is support for the use of an option file for advanced configuration parameters.  The documentation states:

"--optionfile Specify options in a properties file.  For more information on option files, go to:

http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E65459_01/install.1112/e65453/index.htm#InstallGuideTopics/installation_unattended.htm?Highlight=unattended

However, there is no specification of what property file variables are available and what are acceptable values for these parameters.

Features that are expected to be available are, for example:

- do not start NM/GW instance after installation
- change default host/port numbers
- create multiple GW instances as part of the installation
...

Is there any documentation that specifies the setup of this, and if so, does it provide the parameters that can be used in this process?
