Applies to:
Management Pack for Oracle GoldenGate - Version 12.1.3.0.0 to 12.2.1.0.0 [Release 12.1 to 12.2]Linux x86-64
Goal
This document helps you implement Goldengate Monitor Server for High-Availability using two hosts. Assists with a fresh installation or when moving from a Standalone server.
The Goldengate Monitor Server, version 12.1.3.0 or version 12.2.1.0, will work in ACTIVE/PASSIVE mode, meaning at any given time one MONITOR Server will be running in either host.
Both versions were verified on Linux x86-64 platform but the concept should be generic to the Goldengate Monitor Server allowed platforms.
In case the Goldengate is version 12.1.3.0 and already implemented for high-availability and the requirement is to upgrade to Goldengate Monitor 12.2.1.0,
then please refer to HOWTO - Upgrade Goldengate Monitor Server v12.1.3.0 in High-Availability to version 12.2.1.0 (Doc 2137964.1).
