Date Value Specified in the Enterprise Capture dc-client Page is Committed with Different Value (e.g. Value of "15/02/16" committed as "14/02/16") (Doc ID 2137287.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 29, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture - Version 11.1.1.8.0 to 11.1.1.9.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If a user specifies the value in a date field in the Enterprise Capture client, it will populate the field with a value containing the time stamp of "00:00:00" at the end of the date value.  When that date is committed by a Capture managed server that is running in a different timezone, the date output may be different from the date selected in the Capture client.

For example, a user inputs 15/02/16, the value would get committed as 14/02/16.

The clients are in the Indian time zone and the Capture server is in US CST timezone.
