How to Configure OHS 12c Node Manager to Use Non-SSL (Doc ID 2138178.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 22, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 12.1.2.0.0 to 12.2.1.0.0 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

By default the Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c (12.x) Node Manager is using SSL for security. This document shows how to configure the Node Manager to use non-SSL connection. There is no direct reason to do this unless for some reason the SSL was failing and needing a temporary workaround. It is not recommended to disable SSL in production.  Note that this also has not been fully tested across the Oracle Fusion Middleware stack and may not be supported where other components may require SSL only, This is working for purposes of using with an Oracle HTTP Server configured with a standalone domain.
