Symptoms
In ODI 12.2.1 and ODI 12.1.3, when reverse engineering a table from HIVE, the column data type is not correctly reversed:
- For DECIMAL, mapped to NUMBER for Oracle, no data type shows up.
- For VARCHAR(20)mapped to NUMBER for Oracle, is VARCHAR,length-65355
To reproduce this issue:
1. Create a new table in HIVE with this code:
4. Open <TEST_TABLE_NAME> attributes and you'll see the column ipid has no type associated and length is 38 and scale also 38.
