Remote Portlet Communication Error Consuming PeopleSoft ELM WSRP Portlet in WebCenter Portal (Doc ID 2145217.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to consume a PeopleSoft ELM WSRP Portlet protected with WS_Security,
the following error occurs.

Remote Portlet Communication Error

 
Issue is not seen if not using WS-Security but user is presented with a screen to provide user credentials in the ELM Portlet.

 


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Configure PeopleSoft WSRP portlets per the following documentation:

    Fusion Middleware Developing Portals with Oracle WebCenter Portal and Oracle JDeveloper
    54 Integrating Other Oracle Applications
    54.5 Integrating PeopleSoft Applications
    54.5.2 Integrating PeopleSoft Applications as WSRP Portlets
     
     
  2. Register the portlet in WebCenter Portal using:
    "WSS 1.0 Username Token Without Password".


  3. Add the portlet to a page in WebCenter Portal.
    Here you will get the error.
