Symptoms

Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) fails to register a database in an Enterprise User Security (EUS) - Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g environment. A window with the following error message pops up:

Unable to create database entry in the directory service. - TNS-04409: Directory service error caused by oracle.net.config.

DirectoryServiceException: TNS-04431: DirectoryService: no entries found caused by oracle.net.ldap.NNFLException
