How To Configure OWSM And OES Integration When Using OSB As The Service (Doc ID 2145738.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 07, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Web Services Manager - Version 12.1.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

What are the OES configuration steps when using OWSM and OSB?

An attempt is being made to use the policy 'oracle/binding_oes_authorization_policy' as an attachment for an OSB service.

Errors are occurring because of an incorrect setup in OES:

--- Error message:

oracle.wsm.security.SecurityException: WSM-00344 : Failed to authorize user request for Subject:

at oracle.wsm.security.policy.scenario.executor.AbstractOESExecutor.processResponseAndSetResult(AbstractOESExecutor.java:560)
at oracle.wsm.security.policy.scenario.executor.OESAuthorizationScenarioExecutor.receiveRequest(OESAuthorizationScenarioExecutor.java:147)
at oracle.wsm.security.policy.scenario.executor.SecurityScenarioExecutor.execute(SecurityScenarioExecutor.java:642)

The following document was referenced for the configuration:

https://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/fmw121300/OWSMS/configure-authorization.htm#OWSMS5665.

but this only shows the configuration for a basic web service, and not for an OSB service.

What steps need to be performed in order to get the required functionality?
