How To Disable the Automatic Locking Behavior of Batches Scanned into Capture 12c (Doc ID 2146430.1)

Goal

Currently in ODC 10g, a user can scan a document, log out from the scanner machine, and then index/commit the document from a regular work station.  With the standard WEC 12c functionality, when documents are scanned in, they are locked to the person at the scanning PC. They have to unlock the batch before being able to work on it at another work station.  Is there a setting to disable the default locking during scanning? If not, is there a JavaScript that will unlock the batch before a user touches it?
