New Line Issue While Sending Plain-text Email (Doc ID 2147695.1)

Symptoms

Requirement is to send email notification in plain text each line separated by the new/line.

The email-notification template is created as:
%customer=colelm
%category=Requests.Automation.IDM.Automated Access Removal
%assignee=colelm
%group=Test Group
%description=Access Removal TEST LuAnn
%LOG_AGENT=idmuserauto@jea.com
%FROM_EMAIL_OVERRIDE=idmuserauto@jea.com

But the email received:
%customer=colelm %category=Requests.Automation.IDM.Automated Access Removal
%assignee=colelm %group=Test Group %description=Access Removal TEST LuAnn
%LOG_AGENT=idmuserauto@jea.com %FROM_EMAIL_OVERRIDE=idmuserauto@jea.com

It's overriding the email-template formatting.

The text/plain option only allows the space as formatting.
