File Image Colors Linked to Reports are not Displaying Colors in PostScript Output (Doc ID 2148727.1)

Symptoms

An image file (png, jpg, bmp and gif) linked into the report layout is not displaying the image colors when the reports is generated to postscript output.

Example

rwclient.sh server=reports_server report=report.rdf destype=file desformat=printer_name desname=/tmp/output.ps

uiprint.txt is defined as follows:

printer_name:PostScript:1:this is a test:default.ppd: 

Using GhostView utility on a windows machine to display postscript output, the following is displayed.

 

The expected behavior would be seeing the output when sent to a printer or via GhostView as follows:
