Unable To Start DIP Or DIP Is Not Working After Upgrade Of OID From 11.1.1.6 To 11.1.1.7 with Error SEVERE: ADF_FACES-60096 (Doc ID 2148880.1)

Symptoms

Upgrade of OID preformed using below document from 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7. OID is fine, however DIP is not.

  Reference Document: Oracle® Fusion Middleware Patching Guide 11g (11.1.1.9.0) E16793-29

1. As part of the post upgrade the following was performed:

"$ORACLE_HOME/bin/dipConfigurator update "

Now, DIP does work.

 

Example of command : $ORACLE_HOME/bin/dipConfigurator update -wlshost <WLS_HOSTNAME> -wlsport <MANAGED_SERVER_PORT> -wlsuser <WLS_ADMIN_USER> -ldaphost <LDAP_HOST> -ldapport <OID_PORT> -isldapssl false -ldapuser "cn=orcladmin"

2. Login To--> EM-> DIP --> clicking seems disable and getting below error when clicked.

javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.StackOverflowError

3. dipstatus command shows

dipStatus -h <WLS_HOSTNAME> -p <MANAGED_SERVER_PORT> -D <WLS_ADMIN_USER>
[Weblogic user password]
Connection parameters initialized.
Connecting at <WLS_HOSTNAME>:<MANAGED_SERVER_PORT>, with userid "<WLS_ADMIN_USER>"..
Connected successfully.

ODIP Application is down at this host and port.
