OAG Produces Additional Lines In Signing XML Messages (Doc ID 2151227.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 07, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle API Gateway - Version 11.1.2.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On signing XML messages with OAG, it was observed that OAG is placing two lines of whitespace after creating the security header, before the signature part starts.
In some cases , the communication partner does not accept any whitespace or linefeeds in the messages it receives.
How can the behavior of OAG be changed in a way that these two empty lines will not be produced. Below code snippet demonstrates the problem :

Between ...ext-1.0.xsd"> and <dsig:Sign... are the two blank lines generated from OAG. Is this a bug or a feature ? but this can't get the messages accepted from partner's side because of these two empty lines.
