IE 11: af:query Component Raises Validation Error on Selectively Required Fields
Last updated on JULY 03, 2016
Applies to:Oracle JDeveloper - Version 22.214.171.124.0 to 126.96.36.199.0 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
An unexpected validation error is observed on IE 11, when an af:query with multiple fields set as selectively required is executed the first time with data supplied to one field only.
That is, if the user fills in any search field and then clicks on the Search button, the user will receive a validation error. If the user clicks on the Search button again, the query will execute normally. This behavior is only seen in IE11 and only when search button is clicked immediately after typing the value in the field. If tab key is pressed before clicking on search, everything works fine.
Issue does not reproduce in IE9, IE10 and other browsers like Firefox and Chrome.
