Unable To Create Calendar Entries on Android Touch Down v8.4.00044

When attempting to create calendar entries on Touch Down Secure Mail v8.4.00044, the application stops responding.
No calendar entry can be created.
1. Open Secure Mail v8.4.00044 on Android
2. Create Calendar entry
3. It shows please wait....and later show pops up message below
Secure Mail Isn't responding
Do you want to close it?
Wait (button) OK (button)
If click Wait, it goes back to the spinning dialog "Please wait"
If click OK, getting (error....Secure mail isn't responding, Do you want to close it?). This will required a force close and start over.
