How To Troubleshoot And Narrow Down Cause Of vServer Access Issues Through EoIB External Networks (Doc ID 2152779.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 08, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.0.0 and later
Linux x86-64
Oracle Virtual Server x86-64

Goal

On Exalogic Virtual racks sometimes we see issues like some of the Guest vServers can't be accessed through EoIB interfaces, while other guest vServers in the same EoIB network can be accessed without any issues.

Several factors can lead to this issue. It could be the IB switches on Exalogic or external network device like datacenter switches, firewall etc.

This document provides useful information on how to troubleshoot and narrow down the cause for vServers access issues via EoIB network.
