Information in this document applies to any platform.
DBMS_LDAP api is only Certified to work with Oracle Internet Directory.
It "may" work with Active Directory, Sun Directory Server/Iplanet, Novell, etc, but is not certified to do so.

Purpose

This document outlines the support of the Oracle Internet Directory (OID) LDAP APIs with third-party directories in OID 9i and later versions.

Scope

This article applies to anyone using Oracle Internet Directory LDAP APIs to access data from any third-party LDAP directory servers.
