Implicit Locks Are Not Released After JTA Rollback Using Coherence TransactionalCache Service (Doc ID 2155416.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Coherence - Version 12.1.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Coherence 12.1.3.0.0 version:

When testing an application in a coherence cluster even after certain time the "implicit" locks on cache map data are not released because of that subsequent cache accesses on these entries always run on UnableToAcquireLockException. The concurrency locks should be released once the transaction is rolled back  and transaction time is elapsed. However the locks are not being released for a long time.
