Goal

This article covers the steps to upgrade a WebCenter Enterprise Capture 11g system to 12c version 12.2.1.4.0.

Note: If a previous version of Weblogic or WCC was downloaded, delete those files and download 12.2.1.4.0.

 

Note: This only covers the Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture product and not any other applications that may have managed servers such as Content Server, Inbound Refinery, URM, Imaging or Spaces.

A. Install the latest JAVA JDK 1.8
 B. Install Weblogic 12c
 C: Install the WebCenter Content 12.2.1.4.0 Media
 D: Run the Readiness Check for the CAPTURE and MDS Schemas and Configuration Upgrade.
 E: Run the repository creation utility to create the new 12c schemas.
 F. Run the Upgrade Assistant to upgrade the Capture and MDS database schemas.
 G. Modify the 11g domain to 12c standards Using the Reconfiguration Wizard
 H. Set the WCC binaries to the new 12 Oracle_Home.
 I. Start the Admin Server and Capture Managed Servers
 J. Additional steps when the domain is clustered
