Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
WebLogic Server Admin Server is not able to connect to Node Manage, failing with "javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: no cipher suites in common".
Can also check in the WLS Admin Console:
-> Machines -> Node Manager Monitoring tab shows that 'Status: Inactive, SSLException.'
Meanwhile, the Node Manager raised an SSLHandshakeException.
Changes
In this case, Weblogic Server 10.3.x using the same with JDK 1.6.0 had been running for years. This problem started occurring after renewing the certificates and jks file.
The error persists even when JSSE is enabled.
- Note: The same issue can occur if updating the JDK to a newer version, the latest Java 6 or 7.
