Goal

In a Content Manager task flow you can set the Start Folder Path, that is the name of the folder to be used as the root folder in the task flow content. Default is the root folder of the content repository for the current portal. The Search icon can be used to locate the required folder.

The Start Folder Path for a Content Manager task flow can also be set dynamically by passing the folder name as a parameter in the page URL.
This can be achieved using page parameter wiring as documented in Guide to Building Portals with Oracle WebCenter Portal:

Fusion Middleware Building Portals with Oracle WebCenter Portal

19 Wiring Pages, Task Flows, Portlets, and ADF Components
19.4 Passing Parameter Values Through the Page URL
