Replicat Abends With OGG-00665 And ORA-21580 (Doc ID 2160942.1)

Symptoms


On OGG Version 12.1.2.1.10, 1 - Oracle DB backend RDBMS: 11.2.0.4.0

Replicat Abends with OGG-00665 and ORA-21580

Setup one-way replication using golden gate 12.1. Both database are in same version and characterset-- using the exact same in every aspect with respect to configuration, version, OS etc.

We have seen following error when we setup replication

2016-03-02 13:50:33 ERROR OGG-03521 Invalid character for character set UTF-8 was found while performing character validation of source column <column> maps target column <column>.
