Symptoms

Application tier using WebLogic 12c, web tier using OHS 12.1.3.
Application makes AJAX calls. When invoking application directly from application tier the AJAX calls response times are very quick.
When application is invoked from web tier the AJAX calls which return 204 code has delayed response. Response takes close to 35 seconds to finish.
